Since 2016 Richard has authored and self-published a series of books on work, business, change, and creativity. In 2009, with first-stage angel investment he co-founded and led Design Week Top 100 creative agency Assembly Studios.ĭuring 2012, he established a short-term joint venture project partnership with an independent haute couture atelier, bespoke dressmaker, fashion designer to fit-out its UK studio. The Microflat was heralded as the answer to London’s escalating key worker and young professional housing crisis. The Microlife concept was showcased with two live-in Micronauts after raising over £100K in sponsorship. A fully-working Microflat was designed and built in a shop window at Selfridges in Oxford Street, London. ![]() Richard and his partners also co-created the Microflat, the £2M PR value (according to PR Week) worldwide press and media phenomenon, which led to a joint venture with a leading FTSE 250 property company. He then co-founded Piercy Conner (now Piercy&Company) alongside graphic design and CG illustration and animation studio Smoothe. His professional career started with Nicholas Grimshaw and Partners (now GRIMSHAW) in its London studio. Richard studied Architecture at Liverpool University and The Bartlett University College London (UCL). ![]()
